Title: Euro force?

dazcarroll - February 19, 2006 11:05 AM (GMT)
Just wanted to know if we were going to start using euro force. I am ready to downnload it on its release date but was wondering if everyone was getting B)

I'm not too shure at the moment.

Here are some links with more information:

http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/bat...s/euroforce.jsp

http://www.totalbf2.com/game/ef/about/

It seem quite good, maybe the maps will be good.

I'm not sure how much it'll add to the game (enjoyment wise) for it's £5.99. I'll see what other people think though after it's released.

i believe euro force will add a little more excitement with new vehicles and weapons so itd be gd if we decided as a clan to use it

Gunball - February 19, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
it only cost s £6
might get it then
:D

Ivo.eng - February 20, 2006 04:41 PM (GMT)
For £6 its worth it for the extra guns and new vehicles and teams i think.

dazcarroll - February 20, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
i mean if people didnt get euro force we can still play the original bf2 maps and leave out the 3 new ones. Our games will all be compatible still

Recon - February 20, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
I probably will get Euro Force. I've just bought Special Forces too. :)

dazcarroll - February 20, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)

and expand em even more in 2 days ;)

Ivo.eng - February 21, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)

dazcarroll - February 21, 2006 05:20 PM (GMT)

Gunball - February 21, 2006 07:32 PM (GMT)

Yeh, it says "exclusive to EA downloader" or something on the official site.

Not only can't you buy a hard copy, you have to download some dodgy EA software to get it at all - probably full of spyware.

dazcarroll - February 21, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
thats got me thinking. Is it worth the risk for this new addition? I hope it is if we decide to go for it.

And as for a hard copy im going to put any installation software on cd.

yeah then dutch guy was saying EA want to introduce somethign like Steam

and we all know how great steam was

Ivo.eng - February 24, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
Hmmm I disagree with you lot on this one lol. I think that Steam was good. Nothing annoys me more that me buying a game to find other people just downloading it! Steams stopped that and I have never had any issues with it.

As for Euro Force being download only I think its a great idea. The cost is dramatically decreased and you can just whack is on a CD/DVD to keep for ever. I doubt EA will put spyware on the download software. This is a pilot for this sort of distribution and they certainly won't want to put people off for the sake of some stupid advertising!

dazcarroll - February 24, 2006 05:25 PM (GMT)
did some research. turns out ea downloader allows you to redownload anything u have already paid for and downloaded

Even better!

I think it will be good all round especially the £10 saving over what Special Forces will set me back lol

dazcarroll - March 16, 2006 05:35 PM (GMT)
euro force rules, it kicks ass...GET IT!!!!!!! :P

Ivo.eng - March 16, 2006 07:59 PM (GMT)
Is it still £6?

dazcarroll - March 16, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
yeah 5.99 gbp...well worth it

ImmoralMongrel - April 1, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
What's wrong with Steam, she had a few teething troubles at the start but now it is without a doubt my preferred method of buying and playing games.....full stop.

I no longer need any hard copies and i can install my games on any pc i use with an internet connection, and broadband is only getting faster and cheaper........

Mongrel.

Recon - April 1, 2006 03:00 PM (GMT)
Steam is good, but I don't want every games company out there to launch a similar program. Shame they can't all just a agree on one program to handle them all... that would be good. :)

Tanthius - April 22, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
What do they give you in Euro force?
