This game is ace to put it simply. The gameplay is intense and teh AI of the enemy extremely detailed. Buy it trust me its worth it! Lets hope Stalker out classes this as the only problem with Doom 3 is its totally linear where as Stalker is totally the opposite allowing unlimited playability.

Apparently it isn't really scary, since you can tell whats gonna happen next, on the Thief 3 :ph43r: forum they said the Shalsebridge Cradle level was scarier ;)

(Mind you, the Shalsebridge Cradle is an abandoned mental asylum, and all you have is a knife :P)

No seriously trust me its very scary! Especially if you play it in the dark at like 12.30am with your sound pumped high.

Hmm, I've played the demo, still don't think its that scary, just a little freaky :unsure:

I've completed the demo and I liked it. I think the sounds are scarier than what you actually see. Definitely one to play loud! :o

12:00 at night, surround sound, on loud, brightness turned down...whoa :o

Its a class game you should all get the full version. I don't know what levels you guys had but in my experience the further into the game you go the scarier it becomes and also some parts are better than others.

I won't be getting it. It's good but the demo is enough.

In the demo you get the mars city level, where you first arrive, and that goes up to a while after the demons attack.

I don't think I'll get the game either, player vs monster is something I already have in Painkiller. Besides, I'l just wait till S.T.A.L.K.E.R comes out :D

Best way. S.T.A.L.K.E.R should be better than Doom neway as the likes of Doom have been seen before many times but the unlinear nature of stalker as far as i know is unique to it.

I know what you mean though, this is certainly the first FPS that I have seen using a non-linear plot and world.

I got Doom 3 and at first i was kacking it (a first for me as im not afraid of nething)
but after a few hours of playing im used to it and its childsplay.

In a way, STALKER is very similar to DOOM but without being so linear. Basically it's better! :thumbsup:

Doom 3 is a v. good game (obviously). I played the demo and really enjoyed it, BUT!!!!! It felt a little too much like the only point of the game was to get scared, (which i don't enjoy unless i'm with mates). Have to say Half Life 2 was more for me.
But hey that's MY opinion and so counts for almost nothing :thumbsup:

HL2 levels are much more interesting as well.

Doom 3 is good, i have it now, linear but good graphics and detail, better then HL-2 4 mel lol, ah well, if it was not dark and scary then it wud get borin like HL-2

Linear games (shooters especially) do seem to get boring quite quickly. That's why the open-endedness of STALKER is so good. :thumbsup:

Im sure stalker will be good, but linear games can be good, especially when the weapons are quality and the enemies are good. If u play Doom u need to endure it until u get bigger guns, then it gets good
