nope no demo, they have said previously that they are too busy testin the game, its gonna take longer to test the game seeing as it doesnt use scripts for much of it. the release date for the game isnt looking till a May 2005 release :(

on another forum they are all saying about 5000 beta tests coming out near november.you need to apply on a special website that GSC will make so that they can choose from what your system specs are and how much you want stalker.

And have you played a pre-alpha built?A lot of bugs,stupid monsters,no physic,but rather nice graphic. And...its cool to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R!!!!!!!

And are you talking about the leaked version? I've never played that...
