Title: No STALKER multiplayer?
Recon - July 28, 2005 08:15 PM (GMT)
I heard that they have removed the MP from STALKER. We're gonna struggle as a clan without MP lol. It could just be the coop side of MP though - team vs team could still be in the game.

Q: When playing the game in multiplayer cooperative mode, will it be possible to save the game? if yes, will the world status be saved, or just the players status? A: As for cooperative, we are not sure whether we can implement that mode in the game. |
Anyone else hear anything about this?

Yeah i heard about this, I'm pretty sure it was just co-op and there is still team vs team MP in there. Still, I'm not sure how the multiplayer's gonna turn out. I've heard some sources say it's very similar to cs. (if so what's the point in being a single game clan)

The thing is it wud be hard to formulate MP in this sort of game. Everything I have read indicates that the campaign is very long and very open and doesn't necasarily have missions. i could see T v T working . You could like do an object e.g. recover an artefact 1 team has to do it and then the other has to stop them. They could also leave the AI in and if it half as good as they make out then it would make for a very interesting game. Saying that however the missions are probably unlikely to be very deep. The games will probably be quite short but providing the variety of objectives is vast that should not be an issue.

In my experience, clans that try to work for more than one game... don't.

Agreed Recon your better off focussing on making your clan really good for one game rather than branching out into too many. Once we are a top stalker clan then we could maybe consider branching. Not before.
